Feeding the Needy
in conjunction with local churches. Each quarter we prepare a meal for the needy.
Family Promise
Family Promises supports newly homeless families with services, helping them get back on their feet. Temple Menorah supports American Martyr's by bringing dinner or donating gift cards
Habitat for Humanity Jewish Coalition
Habitat has several builds in which congregants can participate
Children's Law Center of California (CLCC)
CLCC provides services for all foster children in Los Angeles. We support their school supply and holiday toy drives.
JFED
We work with JFED to bring projects that support those in need to the South Bay

2026 MMD Successes
Together, as a community we:

Fed the hungry by filling over
80 bags with groceries for food insecure children and cooking enough to food to feed over 40 individuals at the Torrance homeless shelter -
Helped the sick by collecting 11 pints of blood enough to save up to 40 lives

Protected the immigrant by creating 60 immigrant rights kits

Sent our love to Israel by making 60 Passover cards to send cards to children impacted by the war

Took care of our community by creating a Meditation Garden and cleaning up the Choir Loft

Helped the environment through a beach clean up

Clothed the needy through our clothing drive
